| Lived in malta for 19yrs drove for 9years. Make sure you park in the correct places or you will be asking for your ticket. Road security has improved greatly. |

| Malta was enchanting, we drove all over the island. In Medina we took a horse and carraige and meandered through this lovely old city with it's cobblestone lanes. There is no bus service after ten in the evening so we were fortunate to have our own transport. The boat cruise round the Maltese islands was awesome and we got a fabulous suntan. |

The Mediterranean island of Malta is situated off the south of Italy’s most southern island, Sicily. This relatively tiny country has long been a popular destination and with good reason, it is packed full of historical and cultural attractions.
Malta is a magnificent place to visit, filled with incredible baroque buildings and ancient structures. Valletta – Situated on the far north-east coast of Malta and surrounded by water on three sides, Valletta is a picturesque 16th century city and probably the most impressive place on the island. Beautiful throughout, particular highpoints include its interesting museums and superb Upper Barrakka Gardens.
Mdina – The cobbled streets of this pretty city are filled with magnificent Norman style medieval buildings. Mdina also offers some wonderful views of Malta from its high position.
Gozo – This unique island offers a different atmosphere and experience to Malta’s main island. Its main town, Victoria, has some fantastic architecture and is supplemented well by Gozo’s magnificent countryside. The island also has some of Malta’s most popular attractions including the famous Calypso cave.
